enTIRE Engineer
As part of its market responsive TMS software development, VMC developed
a tailored version of “enTIRE Wheels” especially for tyre engineers. Because
Tyre Engineers are not always located on site and travel from one location
to another, their collection of data is of a more periodic nature than the
rest of the industry. This requires the flexibility to leave fields blank
for periods of time to allow for missing information to be collected at a
later date. Because of its commitment to data integrity “enTIRE Wheels”
does not allow for these gaps in its architecture.
As a result, “enTIRE Engineer” was developed as a specialist tool for the
periodic survey market. enTIRE Engineer allows maximum flexibility whilst
still protecting data integrity through flagging the user to complete missing
information.
enTIRE Engineer is allows the user to constantly update the status of the
tyres as they see them, without having to worry about searching for missing
information. The user can enter in all the information they can get hold of
while on site, then fill in the blanks at a later date if required.
Once you have conducted your first fleet survey you will know the location of
all the tyres at site. Performing vehicle, scrap and spare surveys will update
the system with the currenly location and status of all tyres on site, generating
fitments and removals in the background. These steps are performed every time
the site is visited, repeatedly updating the current picture.
If it is not possible to finish your fleet survey due to bad weather or the
availability of vehicles, you can complete the spare or scrap surveys later.
The result will be the same regardless of the order in which the surveys are
completed. As a result enTIRE Engineer is a useful tool offering reports of
both current site snapshots reports of actions performed on site.
